Lydia Bittner-Baird
Hi, I'm Lydia! I started out as a dog walker, pet sitter, and kennel tech, where I learned how to read and connect with dogs on a deeper level. This eventually led me to become a service dog puppy raiser and, from there, into full-time dog training. In 2022, I launched this company, focusing on one-on-one, personalized training programs to help dogs and their owners build stronger, more meaningful relationships.
My approach is about helping your dog to have a healthy worldview, tapping into their natural drives, and guiding them to make good choices. My goal is for you and your dog to create a wholehearted bond, leading to the most fulfilling life for both of you.
Now, I’m thrilled to be part of the KeenDog team, where I’m excited to work with clients and help them achieve real, lasting transformations with their dogs through this thoughtful, customized approach.
Meagan Karas
Hi, I’m Meagan! I’m from Virginia, where I graduated from VCU with a degree in Forensic Science, but I got my first job working at a kennel while attending school. I've been working with dogs professionally for nearly 20 years since, through rescues, breeders and dog daycares.
When we moved to Charlotte, I decided to pursue my dream of training after struggling for quite some time with my own dogs who at the time were reactive and aggressive. Despite trying many different avenues to work on their behavior, I knew there had to be a better way for them to live and I’ve learned so many things throughout my training journey with them and all the dogs who’ve come since.
I’ve always loved dogs, but what I couldn’t predict was how passionate I’d become about helping other owners who are struggling as well to find their way to a happier, more balanced life with their dogs! I’ve spent a majority of my training career in behavior modification, focusing on confidence and relationship building to change the way dogs feel about the world around them and helping owners better understand the root cause of behavioral issues and how to move forward.
When I’m not training, I’m spending time with my partner and our 5 personal dogs, whose interests range from being couch potatoes to training in tracking and scentwork. We’re so excited to be part of the KeenDog team and continue our journey helping dogs and their families!
